Optimal use of suitable locations for the development and revival of food tourism should be considered in urban tourism planning. Given the tourist potential of the city of Tabriz, there is a need to locate traditional restaurants. Given the lack of some factors, including the lack of proximity to quality restaurants, the lack of proximity of restaurants to historical, recreational, and tourist sites, the lack of proximity to shopping centers, and the lack of proximity to roads and public transportation networks, there is a need to pay attention to identifying and evaluating suitable locations for establishing restaurants in urban tourism planning. The present study aims to evaluate the optimal locations of traditional restaurants in attracting tourists to the city of Tabriz, and seeks to answer the question of which urban locations have better conditions for establishing traditional restaurants. To achieve this goal, quantitative models, ranking indicators and criteria, and utilizing the opinions of local experts and knowledgeable people were used. Then, using the Prometheus, AHP, and SAW models, the desired options were ranked and the most optimal location for establishing a traditional restaurant was determined. Statistical calculations were also performed in the EXPERT CHOIC, EXCEL, and VISUAL PROMETHEE software. Considering the criteria considered in this study, the economic criterion of ranking The first and the proximity criterion ranked second. Based on these criteria, the restaurants under study, which are 21 traditional restaurants in Tabriz, were prioritized in order. Based on the analyses conducted, El Goli Restaurant in the Prometheus technique and Qurani Restaurant based on the saw technique ranked first. The results of the studies also showed that in evaluating the optimal locations of traditional restaurants in Tabriz, the most important criterion that ranked first was related to the places susceptible to construction with a weight of 0.114 (which was one of the economic sub-criteria) and the tourist density criterion was one of the social sub-criteria and ranked 8th with a weight of 0.063.
