Systematic exploitation of the capacities of the tourism industry, balanced development in the territory and deepening of spatial-spatial connections and connections between destination and origin points are among the fundamental concerns of decision-makers and decision-makers in academic and executive circles, the realization of each of which is from the point of view Tourism geography knowledge can be analyzed, organized and organized; In other words, the knowledge of tourism geography is able to contribute and play an effective role for the foundation of good information in the process of support system for sectoral and especially spatial decisions (in the field of policy making, planning, implementation and evaluation) to achieve a stable, dynamic and sustainable industry. provide competition.
The rapid growth of the tourism industry on a global scale and its tremendous influence in the political, socio-cultural and economic dimensions and in the world, is the basis for deepening attention and action within the framework of development documents (perspective document 1404), sectoral and medium-term vision (five-year plans) and especially the sixth development plan) as well as a part (strategic document for the development of the tourism industry) at the country level and therefore it is necessary to establish the knowledge bases, methodology and mechanisms of intervention in the industry and at the scale of the territory affected by the discourse frameworks and tools and the resulting lessons from external and internal experiences to the crucible of criticism, evaluation and growth as much as possible; Among the important platforms for publishing the results of discourses and researches is the development of related research journals, which, despite the long history of tourism geography knowledge and journals related to it on a global scale, have not grown much in Iran. Although tourism articles are published sporadically in geographical magazines; But it does not have the necessary coherence and purposefulness. The publication of the Tourism Geography Quarterly will be the only scientific research and specialized publication in the field of tourism geography in the country and it can be a pioneer in the field of presenting findings and scientific-research achievements in the country.
  The pioneering action of establishing the first and only Department of Geography and Tourism Planning in the Faculty of Geographical Sciences of Khwarazmi University is an important step, which is completed by launching the Tourism Geography Magazine, a mission for the advancement and growth of tourism geography knowledge and field; Therefore, the central mission and goal of the magazine is to develop and embed the knowledge cycle/ideological foundations, problem solving methods, evaluation and learning from a scientific and technical-specialist perspective with the efforts of thinkers and researchers in the field of tourism geography and its interdisciplinary dimensions. Suitable for effective decision-making and sustainable development of system components of the tourism industry (attractions, facilities and facilities, uses-activities, transportation system, tourism market/demand, destination management and standards) in the territory.
At the beginning, the proposed quarterly will be published in Persian language along with special letters in English language, and it will try to index the detailed summary (full-length summary) of the articles in English language and register them in the world's authoritative citation databases, necessary preparations for the international Provide the editorial board and judges and publish the achievements of non-Iranian researchers in English in the near future.
